Aromatherapy For Your Mental and Physical Health

The use of aromatherapy is as old as humanity itself. In ancient civilizations, aromatic woods, flowers, plants and herbs played an important role in mystical and religious gatherings. Later it was discovered that essential oils not only smell good, but also have a medicinal effect. It's time to put aromatherapy in the spotlight and find out how scents can contribute to your mental and physical health.

Mental Clarity

All of our products have one or more ingredient that improves mental clarity, some are more uplifting and others are more calming. Our Be Calm serum is known for its calming properties and it’s main ingredient is Sandalwood essential oil.

Benefits of sandalwood oil include treating wounds, acne or pimples but also includes lowering blood pressure, reducing stress and anxiety, improving memory, fighting inflammation, improving kidney health, supporting skin health, relieving pain, helping fight viruses and infections

Another important characteristic of sandalwood is that it promotes mental clarity when used as an incense or fragrance. That is why it is widely used during meditation. In a study conducted in 2006, the effect of sandalwood essential oil on attention and alarm levels was examined and more mentally aware behavior was reported to be exhibited due to increased attention and cognitive clarity.

Many of our long time users apply Be Calm at night after cleansing and toning, not only to brighten and tone their skin but also to promote a sense of calm and clarity. We’ve been encouraging everyone to start their nighttime earlier in the late afternoon or evening as most of us are staying home anyway. Why not get a jumpstart on your routine and feel the benefits before going to bed.

Immune Boosting and Mood Elevating

Both our Be Clean Elixir and Be Clean Toner contain Organic Cold Pressed Grape Seed Oil, Organic Basil Extract, Organic Eucalyptus Lemon Extract, Organic Rosemary Extract and Peppermint Extract. These products are multifunctional and not only beneficial for your skin but can also provide allergy relief as well as boost your mood as well as your immune system. You can use the Elixir as your first night time cleanse, dissolve your make up and environmental grime before you move on to your second cleanse.

If you have (small children) suffering from the common cold or seasonal allergies you can use Be Clean Elixir to massage their feet and toes, its safe to use from 2 years up.

Using essential oils to boost your immune system can help support your mental health as so many of us are trying to stay healthy throughout this pandemic. Our Be Nourished moisturizer is super healing and immune boosting, using lavender and pink grapefruit essential oils to provide your skin with hydration and decrease redness.

Each of our products tells a story of the magic it is doing for your skin, but there is something deeper at work as well, helping you emotionally and promoting your mental health.

As 2020 draws to a close we are happy to announce the launch of our new Niacinimide serum. This serum is powerful and infused with organic green tea extract, pure jasmine and rose absolutes. This serum is perfect for anyone needing a shift in their skin; getting rid of acne, bumps, blackheads, and evening out redness, inflammation and pigmentation issues.

A serious game changer for most.  It should be used once a day under potion and or moisturizer. For sensitive skin every other day.

Niacinamide powder is the active form of Vitamin B3. A safe, nonirritating cosmeceutical ingredient which research shows can offer a number of benefits in improving the appearance of aged and photo damaged skin and improve skin hydration. While its precise mechanism of action is not clear, clinical studies have shown topical niacinamide to be effective in improving skin texture and the appearance of hyper pigmented spots, with improvement in red blotchiness and the reduction of the severity of fine lines. It has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis and production of ceramide, a lipid compound that contributes to the functional and structural integrity of the skin barrier. Theoretically, by improving barrier integrity, niacinamide may help the skin become more resistant to external irritants.
